This position reports to the Senior Analyst, Portfolio.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with project managers to develop cost estimates, forecasts, funding requests and purchase requisitions.
- Monitor and manage project budgets and forecasts ensuring alignment with financial and project performance goals.
- Support required stage deliverables, accruals, cost reconciliations and project closeout activities.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
- Implement and maintain project control processes and tools for effective monitoring.
- Support and document change management, contingency tracking and risk identification.
- Engage with project manager and stakeholders to support clear, accurate reporting.
- Escalate cost, schedule and risk concerns with project manager and/or Sr. Analyst, Portfolio.
- Assist in preparing presentations and updates for stakeholders and management.
What You'll Bring:
- Formal project administration training would be considered an asset.
- 4-6 years experience in project cost controls preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate, written and oral, with a variety of stakeholders - internal and external.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Highly motivated and organized.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software, Oracle, Jira, and Planisware software is considered assets.
- Highly proficient in Excel.
- A collaborative mindset and experience contributing to cross-functional projects.
