What you will do:
• Be responsible for administrating the site (Mill and Mine) Portfolio control program
• Assume overall responsibility for the forecasting requirements of the Rocanville portfolio
• Meet or exceed the monthly and annual forecasting accuracy targets
• Assist Project Managers with the development and execution of capital projects within Nutrien’s project management framework
• Assist Project Managers with monitoring and controlling project costs
• Establish and develop reports that detail portfolio progress
• Develop and lead meetings and presentations at all levels of management
• Support change order and contingency management
• Actively manage annual portfolio cashflow for annual and multiyear budgets
• Troubleshoot financial topics within various types of systems and software
• Manage projects accruals, cost reconciliation, and closeout activities
• Escalate concerns, issues and risks to appropriate management
• Engage with relevant project stakeholders including project reporting to management
• Assist Project Managers in the development and submission of the annual capital plan which aligns with project readiness requirements
What you will bring:
• Post-Secondary education in a relevant field. A PMP or CAPM designation is not required but considered an asset
• Maintenance, project, and/or operational experience at an operating facility or a heavy industrial site is considered an asset.
• Direct experience in the potash industry is considered an asset
• Proficiency in the use of a variety of software programs, such as: Microsoft Excel, Enterprise Asset Management Systems, Microsoft 365 – Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBi
• Demonstrated positive safety behavior and safety leadership; demonstrated a high level of commitment to creating a safe working environment
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to contribute effectively within a team and excel in a team environment
• Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving, organizational skills, and detail oriented
• Ability to problem solve complex software and financial issues
