Reporting to the Sr. Supervisor, the OTC Cash Application Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely application of customer payments, account reconciliations, journal entries, month end close activities, and account adjustments while maintaining strong financial controls and governance.  

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of cash application, accounts receivable processes, customer payment management, reconciliations, ERP systems, and financial reporting.  

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, drive process improvements, support automation initiatives, and ensure efficient and accurate operational excellence. 

• Act as a subject matter expert in cash application and AR account adjustments for complex transactions
• Prepare and post journal entries with a focus on accuracy and completeness
• Execute month end close procedures, ensuring accurate customer reporting
• Coordinate with internal Credit management team and external customers’ accounts payable department to resolve account discrepancies
• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring exceptions and operational issues, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
• Collaborate with IT, the OTC Continuous Improvement team, and internal stakeholders to strengthen controls, support governance requirements, and implement process and system enhancements
• Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing for AR processes and systems, as required
• Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are current, accurate, and complete
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation and participating in audit meetings

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent post-secondary accounting education
• Experience in accounting, cash application, accounts receivable, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of customer payment application, account reconciliations, cash controls, and accounts receivable processes
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (Oracle or equivalent considered)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting skills
• Highly detail oriented, organized, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain high ethical standards
• Experience in shared services, process improvement, automation initiatives, and knowledge of GAAP are assets
• Ability to work in-office five days per week
• Strong knowledge of KPIs
• Intermediate level Excel skills

• Experience with cash application technologies and remittance automation solutions
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Power BI, and Power Query
