Discover more about potash at Nutrien! This is an open posting for Co-op, Civil/Structural Engineering students beginning May 2025 for a 16-month term. 

• This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work

• Applicants who express interest sooner will have the best chance of being matched with a position

• Potential locations for Saskatchewan: Allan, Cory, Lanigan, Patience Lake, Vanscoy, Saskatoon and Rocanville 
• Term (16 months): Dates can be adjusted/extended to coincide with school terms.
  • Spring 2025 - May 5, 2025 - August 28, 2026

What you will do:

• Assist the Engineering department with various duties, including:
• Collaborate on meaningful projects
• Provide technical support on various key initiatives
• Analyze data to support continuous improvement, recovery improvement, and cost reduction
• Work to optimize process and productivity in collaboration with maintenance, engineering and operations
• May also be involved in design work and project management

What you will bring:

• Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Civil/Structural Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term
• Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
• Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training
• Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills
• Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
• Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience
