This position reports to the Director, Enterprise Risk.
Â
The Enterprise Risk Manager plays a key role in supporting and advancing Nutrien’s global ERM program. This role combines structured enterprise risk assessment and reporting responsibilities with a dynamic portfolio of advisory and project-based work, requiring a strong financial and/or risk management foundation and the ability to operate across multiple disciplines.

The successful candidate is a versatile and business-oriented professional who can manage competing priorities, translate ambiguity into actionable insights, and partner effectively with other leaders across the organization.
What You'll Do:
Â
Enterprise Risk & Reporting
- Lead and facilitate enterprise-wide risk assessments with functional and business leaders
- Maintain and enhance the enterprise risk register and reporting outputs
- Support the preparation of executive and Board-level materials
- Oversee contributions to external disclosures (AIF, Annual Report, Sustainability and Climate Reporting)
Â
Program Development & Emerging Risk
- Support and continuously enhance Nutrien’s ERM framework, methodologies, and governance processes
- Lead risk assessment work on sustainability, climate-related risks and emerging trends
- Monitor external trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices
Â
Risk Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide risk advisory support on internal initiatives, ad hoc projects, and strategic decisions
- Support the integration of risk into planning, strategy, and internal control processes
- Coordinate and facilitate risk workshops and training sessions to build risk awareness
- Support ad-hoc projects related to risk governance initiatives and policy development
What You'll Bring:
Â
- 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise risk, finance, internal audit, or related fields, ideally within a large, complex organization
- A post-secondary degree in business, finance, economics, or similar discipline
- A professional designation such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent is preferred, with a strong preference for candidates with a financial, accounting, or audit background
- Exposure to climate risk, ESG, or sustainability frameworks is highly valued
- Ability to balance structured analytical work with ambiguous, evolving priorities
- Strong financial acumen and ability to connect risks to financial performance and enterprise value
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex and ambiguous issues into clear, decision-relevant insights
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels
- Strong sense of accountability and able to operate within a broad and evolving mandate
