Reporting to the Director, External Reporting, the full-time position of Manager, External Reporting is responsible for preparing and supporting the execution of external financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and securities commission requirements in both Canada and the U.S. This position works closely with individuals across the External Reporting team and various departments throughout Nutrien's global operations. 

This is a hands-on, technical specialist and individual contributor role where the successful candidate will be directly involved in the preparation of external reporting deliverables, supporting analyses and regulatory filings. The position is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working in the details, taking ownership of complex deliverables and partnering across the organization to meet reporting deadlines. 

Success in the role requires a collaborative mindset, exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Candidates should be comfortable working with large volumes of detailed financial information and performing the tie-outs, variance analyses, document comparisons and consistency checks that are critical to producing high-quality external reporting and regulatory filings. 

• Prepare high-quality working papers, analyses and supporting documentation for Nutrien's quarterly and annual regulatory filings, including financial statements, MD&A, AIF and other public disclosure documents
• Prepare and maintain the quarterly financial reporting analyses and supporting documentation underlying management's review of consolidated and segment financial performance, including key SOX-controlled processes
• Prepare analyses, working papers and supporting documentation related to complex and non-routine transactions and reporting matters
• Participate in quality control procedures related to regulatory filings and other public documents prepared by other departments, including document tie-outs, consistency reviews and validation of financial information across reporting documents
• Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Investor Relations, Legal, Treasury, Tax and business units to gather information required for external reporting and regulatory filings
• Support quarterly review and annual audit activities by preparing audit support, responding to auditor inquiries and coordinating information requests
• Support the implementation of IFRS 18 through the preparation of working papers, transition analyses and related documentation
• Contribute to a variety of external reporting and finance initiatives, including legal entity financial statements, statutory financial statements, pension financial statements, debt offerings and other special projects
