This position is located at the Pilot Plant Facility and reports to the Pilot Plant Manager.
What you will do:
- Support potash operating segment projects at all 6 Potash sites
- Support portfolios of Product Quality, Metallurgical Projects and Mill Process & Pilot Plant team
- Collect and analyze potash process samples
- Responsible for the timely and orderly flow of sample analysis
- Ensure the accuracy of all analytical information processed
- Participate in safety programs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment
- Miscellaneous assignments as they arise, due to need and priority
What you will bring:
- Chemical Technology Diploma or equivalent degree program
- Previous Potash site experience is an asset
- Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation, standard operating procedures, and safe work practices
- Ability to travel to any one of the 6 Potash sites as needed
- Familiarity with Potash processing circuits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Aptitude for identifying and mitigating hazards in the workplace
- Ability to adapt to changing timelines and priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated accountability
- Tactful and effective communication skills with a variety of people and departments
- Readiness to learn new skills and take on increasing responsibility
