This role is designed to Ensure effective engagement with Nutrien’s top Corporate Managed Services Strategic Partners, striving to improve service quality while constantly aligning to Nutrien’s strategic goals and operational requirements.We’re seeking an individual who has a multi-disciplinary expertise, constantly striving to improve the current state, is a master collaborator and operates with a high degree of integrity.  

 

What You'll Do:

Vendor Management

    • Manage primary service partner agreements within finance and HR by representing Nutrien’s best interest and managing from a contractual, commercial, performance, risk and relationship perspective.
      • Contractual:
        • Negotiate existing Agreements or SoWs, collaborating in partnership with procurement
        • Conduct contract change process, collaborating with stakeholders to collect information and ensure that terms are beneficial to Nutrien
        • Point of contact expertise in portfolio contracts to provide contract interpretation and communications to stakeholders
      • Commercial
        • Strong financial modeling background to ensure the development and maintenance of financial models represent accurate amount owed to vendors
        • Ensure invoice amounts are paid in accordance to the Terms within each contractual Agreement which includes reviewing performance credits, penalties, fixed and variable fee charges
        • Budget and track Actual spend / update forecasts against partner agreements
        • Develop chargeback models to be presented to leadership
      • Performance Management
        • Ensure high-quality delivery of financial services to external and internal stakeholders by monitoring and reporting on Service Level Agreements, Operating Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators (SLAs/OLAs/KPIs)
        • Independently develop tracking mechanism to continuously track and update performance metrics
        • Use critical thinking and best practices to assess opportunities to improve vendor processes related to business health indicators
      • Risk Management
        • Manage contract risks and overarching vendor risks including the ongoing coordination, development and follow-up on vendor specific Business Continuity plans.
      • Relationship
        • Continuously manage governance framework which includes constantly assessing appropriate level of audience, timing and content and providing insightful recommendations to operational teams and strategic partners
        • Act as a liaison between Nutrien customers and Strategic Partners for issues related to governance, issue management, performance management and risks
        • Independently identify trends in issues, facilitating resolution of recurring service issues and service slippage

 

This individual will also be responsible for helping manage Nutrien’s Software Asset landscape. This includes the following:

    • Develop and formalize processes, frameworks and documents to standardize and effectively run the SAM activities which include License Request Fulfillment, License metering / harvesting, contract co-terming and consolidation, license renewals and true-ups and license termination management.
    • Utilize knowledge of Software Asset Management practices to recommend process improvements and cost savings
    • Develop presentations and reports to be presented to Senior leadership
    • Manage and optimize SAM data for improved reporting and analytics
    • Lead internal license audit and compliance reviews
    • Build dashboards to simplify SAM reporting to meet stakeholder needs

What You'll Bring:

  • Degree in Finance/Accounting/Computer Science or a related field of study preferred.
  • 5–8+ years in vendor or contract management with a focus on IT vendors, either hardware, or software.
  • Experience managing Tier 1 vendors would be an asset.
  • Hands-on experience with licenses, compliance, audits, and renewals.
  • Experience in a complex enterprise environment (hybrid, cloud, SaaS).
  • Ability and comfort to speak, facilitate, and communicate with all corporate levels and teams, from staff to executive, internal customers, IT, and vendors in a global and multi-cultural environment.
  • Experience and ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
  • Experience and ability to analyze and draw conclusions and actions from data (e.g., confirm compliance or identify non-compliance).
  • Basic administrative and project management experience.
