This is an open posting for University of Saskatchewan College of Engineering students interested in co-op, internship and new grad opportunities with Nutrien.

What we are looking for: We are accepting applications for intern, co-op, and summer student opportunities from motivated and talented individuals who are current students or recent graduates. While specific openings may not be available at this moment, we are always eager to connect with candidates interested in exploring future opportunities within Nutrien.

 

Internship and Co-ops: 

  • Requirements: Currently enrolled in a 2 to 4 year degree program in Engineering or equivalent related program with a graduation date of Aug 2026 or later.
  • Locations/Terms: (Dates can be adjusted to coincide with school terms)
    • Co-op or internship starting in May, or September 2026 for 4,8,12 or 16 months.

    • Engineering – Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Mine/Geological, Environmental, Process throughout our Nitrogen and Potash Operating Segments. 

 

New Graduates: 

  • Programs:
    • Engineer in Training - This rotational program combines technical training achieved at University with on-the-job training.  Through formal training, mentorship and increasing levels of responsibility, you will develop your technical job skills and knowledge of business processes in our Nitrogen and Potash Business Units. At the conclusion of the rotation, the engineer will be placed into an exciting role within our Nitrogen or Potash Business Units. Placement will consider several factors including business needs, available openings, participant strengths and preferences.
    • Indigenous Internship Program - Within Nutrien, we have multiple opportunities for voluntarily self-identified students or new grads of Canadian Indigenous ancestry to gain valuable experience in the field of Engineering, Technology, Business and IT at several of our locations. This program offers participants additional opportunities for networking, community engagement, and learning and development.
