This position is required to be on-site and is located in Saskatoon, SK.
What you will do:
- Execute month-end close activities, including review of the general ledger, continuity schedules and preparing and posting journal entries.
- Responsible for preparation and analysis of monthly joint venture financial statements, including timely distribution and communication to stakeholders.
- Perform monthly financial analysis and review account reconciliations.
- Process joint venture transactions, including invoices and quarterly cash disbursements to JV partners.
- Provide support and financial schedules for Tax and External Reporting teams.
- Prepare and review information requests from external and internal auditors, including performing asset verification processes.
- Prepare and monitor joint venture budgets and forecasts.
- Central point of contact for joint venture partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate communication and collaboration.
- Preparation and review of other month-end close activities as assigned.
- Support and assist with continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business from a recognized institution, ideally with an accounting specialization.
- CPA designation required.
- 5+ years accounting experience required with a strong working knowledge of IFRS and application of the concepts.
- Results oriented, with ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
- Strong attention to details combined with the ability to maintain a big picture perspective.
- Excellent analytical skills, problem solving and decision-making capability.
- Demonstrated time management skills, and ability to prioritize when involved with multiple initiatives and changing priorities.
- ERP System experience would be considered an asset.
