This individual’s role is responsible for loading and mixing raw materials to produce finished agricultural products in a safe and precise manner.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Follow prescribed product recipes, ensuring measurements are precise and correct raw material is incorporated into a batch.
  • Monitor blending machinery to ensure proper functioning during production runs. Conduct pre and post operation checks to maintain equipment in good order.
  • Review and interpret customer orders to maximize production yields and minimize waste.
  • Accurately weigh raw materials to be used in production according to the process order.
  • Identify defects in raw materials and notify manager of quality issues or unusual product characteristics.
  • Ensure that samples are pulled during production runs for quality control evaluation.
  • Maintain accurate production records, noting order of addition, mixing times, and required supporting documentation.
  • Utilizing fall protection and safety precautions, offload raw materials from bulk tanker ensuring that substance is transferred to the correct tank.
  • Exercise initiative to identify areas of process improvement, communicating recommendations to manager.
  • Efficiently and safely move packaged products with a forklift for shipping.
  • Accurately label packaged products with correct product information.
  • Collaborate with team members in completing daily warehouse housekeeping tasks.
  • Complete routine maintenance on equipment, making minor repairs as needed. Ensure manager is promptly notified of equipment requiring significant repairs.
  • Model our core value of safety by always utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
  • Embrace a safety-mindset, committing to safe work practices through Key Daily Actions.
  • Demonstrate a willingness and enthusiasm to complete additional task to meet business objectives.

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Understanding of procedures for safely operating plant packaging equipment.
  • Skilled in basic reading and math skills to accurately comprehend written product information.
  • Follow through on assigned tasks from start to finish.
  • Accountability to team with dependable attendance and completing share of workload.
  • Organized approach to completing work in alignment with priorities.
  • Proven capability to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
