Reporting to the Branch Manager, this individual contributor role will be repsonsible for performing routine warehouse duties such as receiving, storing, and shipping of farm supplies.
What you will do:
- Deliver high quality service to customers
- Plan and coordinate the proper warehousing of product
- Check for damaged articles, quality and quantity and records quantities received and report to manager/supervisor with regard to damaged items and shortages
- Operate forklift equipment as needed
- Operate by industry regulations in the handling and storage of and completes related documentation
- Draw from stock to fill customer orders
- Make deliveries in company truck, potentially overnight, as needed
- Coordination of shipment with various transportation organizations
- Complete shipping documentation and coordinate warehouse space with shipping and receiving
- Maintain product condition by turning and monitoring
- Conduct regular inventory checks
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a positive image program at the branch
- As requested, participate in local community activities
- Promote the services of the facility
- Keep the manager informed of levels of existing stock
- Comply with all Nutrien Ag Solutions’ and Industry regulatory and safety standards at all times
- Keep facilities and grounds clean and tidy, well maintained, and free of fire hazards
- Carry out a regular preventative maintenance program and conduct minor repairs
- Maintain stock control records
- Overnight travel as needed using company resources
- Complete other assignments as needed to achieve business objectives
What you will bring:
- A high school diploma or equivalent certificate is required
- An engaged safety-first mindset
- Demonstrated high level of customer service
- Demonstrated ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and members of the public
- Proficient in basic use of computer systems such as Microsoft Windows and email
- Proven ability to work independently
- Highly organized
- Mechanical operation experience
- Ability to move 50 – 60 pounds
- Previous experience with SAP software is a bonus, but not required
