Reporting to the Director, Planning within the Midstream Planning, Data, & Systems team, the Senior Manager, Planning & Systems is responsible for the stewardship of Nutrien’s S&OP processes and the related SAP IBP system for the Fertilizer, Chemical and Seed products we sell. This role leads a team of professionals to facilitate and improve planning processes while maintaining a long-term strategy for the systems and tools to develop our commercial plans. This position will lead all special projects including business case preparations, be the liaison for all IT projects and support development of the data analytics and reporting required to advance planning within SAP IBP. This role is required to develop and maintain good working collaboration with many other groups within the company, such as Strategic Supplier Management, Wholesale & Retail Sales, Transportation & Distribution, Finance and IT.

What You'll Do:
Â
- Develop and maintain a 5-year strategy for our Retail-specific Planning Systems to ensure we can turn Nutrien’s strategy into action for all products we sell including Fertilizer, Chemical and Seed, in collaboration with users and stakeholders.
- Ensure SAP IBP and all other Planning Systems are maintained and set up to meet the needs of our stakeholders and business processes, including ensuring inputs to our systems are aligned and support our planning requirements through collaboration with the owners of those inputs.
- Manage and support, as required, S&OP and S&OE processes and meetings to ensure accountability across Upstream, Midstream and Downstream teams through business planning and execution.
- Define and support long‑term capability development within the planning team, including supply chain planning, SAP expertise, communication, and process leadership to evolve processes and support career development.
- Support inventory, logistics, and cost optimization initiatives through effective use of SAP IBP capabilities.
- Provide leadership for our planning technology and systems, working in close partnership with IT to ensure usability and value‑add improvements.
- Keep up with new technologies and benchmark Nutrien’s planning against industry best practices.
- Liaise with Finance, IT, and all other groups requiring or providing data to our systems.
- Support Continuous Improvement efforts for the planning teams in conjunction with the Business Process Improvement team.
- Leverage statistical forecast modelling to support analysis and guide development or improvements of the model, including consuming external variables.
- Use analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data‑driven forecasts of potential costs, risks, and profits of new business initiatives.
- Design and distribute actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement in current operations, and display root‑cause analysis of problems.
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders and provide business strategy recommendations for optimizing business performance.
What You'll Bring:

- Business (Supply Chain) or Information Technology diploma with a minimum of 10-year related experience
- Proficiency in SAP IBP is required while experience with SAP S4 considered an asset (e.g. TM, MRP, or MM)
- Proven analytical skills with strong understanding of statistics and experience developing KPI style measures
- Able to process large amounts of data, influence others and drive cross-functional alignment and be able to communicate at various levels within the organization
- Knowledge of Planning processes (S&OP and S&OE) is required
- Knowledge of chemical manufacturing or agriculture industries is considered an asset
- Must possess strong leadership skills and be well organized, self-motivated, focused on meeting deadlines and able to multitask within a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional people management skills with a desire to grow and support your team
- Excellent communications skills and ability to present to senior leaders
- Demonstrated ability to support and interact effectively with other core business functions and a passion for leading change

Compensation & Benefits:Â

The salary range for this role, in Deerfield Corporate office location only, is between $121,500-$190,850. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process. Â
