Job Summary
This people leader role is accountable for developing and empowering a high-performing team of Product Managers across the Dyna-Gro crop portfolio, driving alignment and collaboration to successfully execute crop strategies and five-year business plans. This highly visible position will foster strong partnerships with stakeholders at Regional and Division levels to deliver profitable market share growth and maintain high performing product portfolios.
What You'll Do:
Â
- Create alignment and synergy between Product Management and Area Manager teams to enable Field stakeholders to effectively deliver crop business objectives
- Serve as a subject matter expert in topics related to crop genetics, traits, and crop viability
- Actively engage in continuous assessment of market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments, relaying critical information to Seed Leadership
- Lead the tracking, coordination, and execution of portfolio discard and obsolescence initiatives to optimize inventory and portfolio performance
- Cultivate product management excellence through engagement of direct reports in product advancement efforts, year-over-year improvements in cost of goods, and active management of the product portfolio across the lifecycle
- Deliver continuous coaching to direct reports, fostering critical thinking through idea evaluation, pricing strategy analysis, and market trend insights to solve complex business issues
- Communicate clear direction to direct reports by defining roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations that align individual contributions with business objectives
- Enhance reporting talent through tailored development activities that build on employee strengths, interests, and career goals
- Partner with Breeding team stakeholders in key crop planning and forecasting efforts
- As needed, assist with improving integrity in forecasting activities
- Effectively manage resources to meet objectives on time and within budget
- Demonstrate our core value of safety through daily actions, leadership, and decision-making, fostering a culture where safety is prioritized, concerns are addressed proactively, and employees feel empowered to speak up
- Complete additional tasks and assignments to meet business needs and objectives

What You'll Bring:
Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Crop Science or related field is required
- Ten years of progressive seed product management experience
- Four years leading teams to achieve success through process excellence
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to travel within the US 30% to 50%; occasional travel to Costa Rica may be required
- MBA or Masters in Agronomy is preferred
- Previous experience with SAP and/or PowerBI is beneficial

Compensation & Benefits:Â

The salary range for this role, in Minnesota is between $115,500 - $181,500. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process. Â
