What You'll Do:
Â
- Operate and maintain all steam plant equipment and systems
- Operate and maintain compressed air, fire water, mill water, and potable water systems
- Understand and abide by the collective bargaining agreement and relevant regulations
- Ability to work independently and perform normal day/night shift duties
- Other routine duties including associated utility and operational work
What You'll Bring:
Â
- Valid 2nd Class Power/Steam Engineer Certificate for the Province of Saskatchewan Â
- Candidates with valid 3rd Class Power/Steam Engineer Certificate for the Province of Saskatchewan with ambition to obtain 2nd Class ticket within 3 years are encouraged to apply and will be considered
- Preference given to experience in a plant operation environment with exposure to production, maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, and administration
- Excellent understanding of all the process equipment in the area of process water, compressed air, refrigeration, ventilation, water treatment for the boilers, heating, and cooling
- Ability to interact positively with other crew members and supervisors
- Must be able to work independently while on shift work and make and implement technical decisions
