What You'll Do:
Â
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to employees to ensure a safe, productive and efficient operation.
- Promote and participation in Nutrien safety programs with a focused effort to identify and mitigate risk
- Perform in-field Life Critical Assessments & Competency Verifications to ensure workers understand and follow safe work practice
- Â Assist in incident investigations including TapRoot investigations as required
- Â Work closely with Safety Department in the development and presentation of safety training materials
- Â Attend virtual and in-person meetings with the corporate technical training group
- Â Maintain a working knowledge of Site Policies & Procedures, Business Unit Standards, and Provincial Regulations
- Â Become proficient in use of ETQ reporting/tracking database, Learning Management System and other related software applications
- Â Maintain & distribute reporting on training programs/statistics as required
- Â Distribute Training Department communications where applicable
- Â Show commitment, promote, and participate fully in the Nutrien Safety System and Nutrien Corp.'s SHE performance
- Â Maintain and continually build upon knowledge base for safety in the mining industry
Â
What You'll Bring:
Â
- Grade 12 diploma required, additional education or training in a relevant field may also be considered
- Strong commitment to safety
- Experience in underground and surface potash operations or industrial plant environment is an asset
- Working knowledge of mobile equipment used in underground & surface mining operations
- Experience in safety and safety systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint
