This position reports to the Mine General Superintendent.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Carry out duties following Nutrien safety principles and priorities.
  • Support all aspects of site safety systems, including OHC, and SIF.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Company Policies and Procedures, and laws and regulations.
  • Lead and provide direction to the Mine and Shaft Supervisors.
  • Actively promote and engage in continuous improvement of Mine Maintenance processes.
  • Be responsible for efficient execution of all Mine Maintenance activities to meet the needs of the mine.
  • Participate in the development and of implementation of an asset management strategy that safely achieves production demand while maintaining or reducing maintenance costs.
  • Respond to scheduled and unscheduled callouts to ensure normal business operations related to their area of responsibility.
  • Collaboratively work with Maintenance, Operations, Shaft and Engineering teams to develop, support, and accomplish personal, team, and site goals and targets.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years of Mine and or Shaft experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a mining environment is required.
  • 5+ years of underground industrial mining experience would be considered an asset.
  • Underground direct supervisor ticket would be considered an asset, must be willing to get one if not currently held.
  • Knowledge in SAP, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Journeyperson, Technical diploma, or Engineering degree would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to make complex decisions.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of maintenance planning and asset management.
  • Good understanding of mining operations.
  • Ability to create and work within high performing teams.
