Journeyperson Electrician, Special Assignment

Reporting to the Surface Mill Maintenance Supervisor, the Temporary Journeyperson Electrician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.

This position is located in Vanscoy, SK, Canada and is not available for remote work. This position is temporary in nature with a duration of up to 6 months.

Schedule is Monday – Thursday, 10-hour dayshift.

What you will do:

· Inspect, repair, install and wire all electrical apparatus, devices and circuits of any voltage

· Work safely in a mining environment following policies and procedures

· Participate in safety meetings and inspections, and following standard operating procedures

What you will bring:

· Valid Journeyperson Red Seal Electrician license required

· Previous experience in an industrial environment would be an asset

· Positive safety behavior and a safety mindset

· Ability to work safely and effectively in a labor-intensive team environment as well as independently

· Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

· Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors

· Proven history of demonstrating "Respect in the Workplace" values

· Mindset emphasizing the importance of Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace

- QEW certification is considered an asset

-Mill/process experience is considered an asset
