Reporting to the General Manger, Nutrien Vanscoy Operations the Mine General Superintendent is responsible for strategic planning, management, and leadership of safe, reliable and efficient operations of the underground Mine.

 

 This position is located in Vanscoy, Saskatchewan.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Build relationships and trust with all employees and support teams.
  • Provide safety leadership with application of Human and Organizational Performance concepts.
  • Supervise, coach and develop leaders of multidisciplinary departments including Operations, Construction, Maintenance, Engineering and Capital Projects.
  • Lead a talented team of staff and hourly to execute a mine plan that achieves performance indicators in safety, production, risk management and cost.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through effective collaboration, cooperation and communication within the site and the Potash network.
  • Work in alignment with the site leadership team and the Potash network to achieve Nutrien’s goals.

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Engineering/Technical degree from a recognized university.
  • 8+ years of increasing leadership responsibility in mining or relevant heavy industrial setting.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration, respect, and trust.
  • A commitment to the process of making quality decisions.
  • Ability to develop a high performing, cohesive team.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and safety systems with a demonstrated commitment to safety.
