What You'll Do:

 

  • Provide first aid, health counseling, medical referral services, and education to employees and contractors as required, preventing and managing work and non-work related injuries and illnesses
  • Manage medical programs including health examinations, screening program, and seasonal vaccination clinics
  • Manage the health tracking system and maintain accurate and up to date data and reporting
  • Lead and facilitate the medical aspects of WCB, short-Term, long-term case management, and accommodation and disability cases in conjunction with the Human Resources department
  • Develop protocols, policy and procedures as required, direct contract staff, manage medical budget and maintain the Health Centre equipment and supplies at the ready
  • Ensure confidential handling of medical records per privacy legislation
  • Schedule is 4x10s, Monday to Thursday, Days

What You'll Bring:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing and/or OHN, RN or LPN certification is required
  • Ability to work overtime when required, especially relating to off-hours case management consultation on an occasional/as needed basis required
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the Case management process for Occupational and Non-Occupational injury/illness.
  • Ability to maintain records and produce reports related to patient statistics
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability and desire to work effectively as a team member
  • Organized and a leader in health and safety
  • Competence in health tracking software and Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Passion and commitment for safety - Expectation of self and others to demonstrate respect, at all times
  • Mindset emphasizing the importance of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace
