Reporting to the Sr Supervisor, Mill Engineering this position will be part of the team responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of the Mill Maintenance crew.
What You Will Do:
- Provide electrical expertise for troubleshooting electrical system deficiencies and create/update troubleshooting procedures to meet operational requirements.
- Accountable for providing electrical engineering functions and project support to maintain and upgrade mill facilities, equipment, and processes.
- Review electrical engineering and maintenance specifications, proposing design modifications to improve equipment and process reliability.
- Support capital projects with electrical engineering to ensure successful execution of major repairs, overhauls, and projects.
- Coordinate with drafting, project managers, in-house support, and external contractors to achieve desired results.
- Work closely with the maintenance electrical and instrumentation department.
- Ensure Nutrien electrical standards are maintained for engineering design.
- Update and mark up site electrical single-line diagrams as needed.
- Demonstrate positive safety behavior and leadership.
What You Will Bring:
- Electrical Engineering degree with a minimum of 5+ years of experience and registration as a P.Eng with APEGS.
- Experience with low and medium voltage power systems, MCCs, VFDs, SLD, PLC/DCS controls and automation, and/or instrumentation is an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of codes and technical schematics.
- A working knowledge of ETAP modeling and arc flash studies is preferred.
- Experience with SAP is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to handle a large and varied workload.
