Technician, Electrician

This position reports directly to the Supervisor, Maintenance.

This position is located in Weeping Water, Nebraska, U.S.A. and is not available for remote work.

What you will do:

• Maintain the electrical and instrumentation equipment at the Nutrien-Weeping Water Plant
• Assist all areas of maintenance and the facility to assure the effective performance of assigned job duties and the plant overall.
• Crosstrain to perform duties of the Maintenance Mechanic, and on occasion the “B” Operator duties in Production.
• Care for daily maintenance tasks as assigned, general and routine plant functions.
• Assist in daily maintenance goals.
• Complete work orders assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
• Run conduit and pull wire.
• Design basic electrical and control switches.
• Install new electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and control circuits.
• Ensure proper adherence to safety policies and rules.
• Adhere to plant safety program and environmental program administration.
• Be efficient and have a complete understanding of the NEC.
• Read blueprints for electrical and control circuits.
• Trouble shoot hydraulic systems.
• Conduct frequent housekeeping and safety inspections.
• Fill-in as Temporary Supervisor in the Maintenance Supervisor’s absence
• Rebuild and repair mechanical equipment such as gear boxes, pumps, rotary feeders, grinding mills, etc. 
• Review and participate in accident and injury investigation and corrective action. 
• Welding and oxygen acetylene
• Fabricate parts.
• Bearing and seal replacement and alignment
• Coordinate maintenance work with production schedule.
• Respond to emergencies in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and orderly.

What you will bring:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Two-year degree in a related field is a plus.

• Minimum of six years of experience in a related electrical role.

• Journeyman license is preferred.
