This job assignment reports directly to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor.

 

What you will do:

  • Aid in providing reliability and engineering support to Mobile Fleet maintenance department.
  • Discuss technology and conduct failure analysis with peer personnel both locally and at other Nutrien sites.
  • Develop and contribute to models that forecast mobile equipment and major component end of life to aid in proactive repair and annual budget construction.
  • Provide technical support in the design, specification, selection, and operation of mobile equipment.
  • Support management of mobile equipment fleet telematics programs utilizing multiple online monitoring platforms.
  • Remain on call for mobile equipment emergencies and support.
  • Ensure all work is done in a safe manner consistent with company, local, state, federal and health, safety and environmental regulations and procedures.
  • Support leader by assisting with direct Supervision of mobile maintenance employees.
  • Support development of annual budget, fleet strategy, equipment specifications, lease documentation, and improvement projects
  • Evaluate equipment and performance, under the guidance of leadership, by collecting and analyzing data and other information and makes recommendations to improve overall fleet reliability.
  • Support a variety of reliability assignments with appropriate direction, including investigation of problems or opportunities, performance measurement of projects via economic evaluations.
  • Provide support to evaluate the mobile fleet inefficiencies and problems, safety hazards, and environmental problems and recommends courses of action.
  • Stay abreast of technology development to implement such technologies where applicable to improve mobile equipment unit cost of operation and reliability.
  • Inform supervisor on current activities, significant developments, and technical problems.
  • Collaborate with Operations and stakeholders in developing projects and designs and solving problems that improve reliability and/or mobile equipment efficiency.
  • Prepare month-end reports for financial accounting.
  • Write letters and reports incidental to assignments; schedules and conducts meetings with operating, maintenance, and technical personnel.

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor of Engineering is required (Mechanical, Automotive or Civil)
  • Basic understanding of light vehicles and heavy equipment with utilization of engineering knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of project economics.
  • Intern or Co-op experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
