What you will do:

 

  • Comply with all Company safety rules / regulations as well as MSHA and OSHA
  • Maintain subject confidentiality of all security matters.
  • Enforce all Company rules/regulations.
  • Submit a daily shift log of all activities and areas patrolled to Supervisor Security and file reports as directed.
  • Complete Key Procedure Audits and Safety Samples
  • Conduct monthly container inspections and vehicle inspections as directed.
  • Monitor and ensure authorized removal of Company assets.
  • Participate in employee and contractor drug/alcohol on-site testing program by conducting Contractor Audits on a monthly basis or as directed.
  • Conduct Reasonable Suspicion Drug/Alcohol tests as investigations dictate. This will require monitoring all aspects of the testing, including breath analyzer and ensuring “chain of custody” for confirmation of samples.
  • Conduct vehicle and foot patrols throughout facilities and administration office buildings to protect Company property while ensuring maximum security.
  • Monitor employee shift changes to prevent and or discover thefts.
  • Monitor access of non-company vehicles on Company property and sensitive reclamation areas.
  • Conduct physical surveys of facilities including shops and office buildings.
  • Monitor restricted and posted areas.
  • Conduct surveillance under controlled situations; coordinate related activities with local law enforcement groups including Sheriff, Police Departments, Florida Wildlife Officers, etc.…
  • Direct and handle traffic control in emergency situations.
  • Investigate traffic accidents involving Company or third-party vehicle; preliminary investigation of theft of Company assets to include gathering evidence, locating and questioning witnesses, prepare written reports.
  • Responsible for escorting identified employee and disgruntled employees (Company and Contractor) off Company property and/or transporting home as directed.
  • Monitor information signs throughout the White Springs facility, and report as needed missing or damaged signs to management.
  • Participate in litigation, hearings and court cases as required.
  • Responsible for monitoring of surveillance cameras.
  • Make employee, contractor and vendor credentials (badges). Must be proficient in this skill and also monitor the data base.
  • Perform penetration tests as instructed.
  • Perform Key Procedure Audits and Exposure Based Safety Sample
  • Conducts pre-shift inspection of security vehicle by using the pre-shift inspection form, records any concerns and reports them to supervisor.
  • Conducts periodic inspections in locations where contract security officers are located and provides guidance when needed.
  • Enforces the facility security plan by performing vehicle searches, security patrols, identification checks and various other security related tasks.
  • Follows procedures for responding to bomb threats by recording the details of the threat and then immediately notifying supervisor about the event.
  • Issues plant passes to visitors by reviewing their government issued picture ID and verifying that the ID presented matches the description of the individual presenting the ID and that the ID is valid.
  • Maintains and tracks visitor log for expected visitors.
  • Maintains constant radio contact during a 12-hour shift in the event that an emergency situation occurs.
  • Maintains inspections on emergency vehicles
  • Maintains job related certifications by attending continuing education classes related to needed disciplines (MSHA annual refresher, EMT refresher, etc.).
  • Maintains personal company radio and telephone and reports any concerns with the operation of assigned units.
  • Maintains a valid driver’s license.
  • Monitors and directs traffic coming onto the plant-site by verifying plant ID and vehicle pass.
  • Monitors critical plant site locations by viewing monitors located in the main security building, takes action as needed and reports any concerns to the roaming officer or supervisor. Makes sure that concerns are documented on shift log.
  • Participates in Safety Training (MSHA and Emergency Response) events by assisting in demonstrating techniques that lead to efficient and competent responses in the event of an emergency.
  • Participates in established security drill as required.
  • Records work hours on daily timesheet and forwards to coordinator or supervisor.
  • Uses plant radio system (channel #1) to monitor and notify in any emergency. The radio will also be used to monitor activities on plant site during 12-hour shift.
  • Verifies that all plant site visitors are signed in on the visitors log and issues visitor passes.
  • Reports on condition of all plant flags (US and Company) and replace as directed.
  • Checks email system at the beginning of shift and responds to any request according to priority.

 

What you will bring:

•  High school diploma or equivalent, required
•  2+ years of experience in law enforcement, security, or emergency services
•  Emergency management training certification (EMT), preferred
•  Valid Driver’s License
