Discover more about phosphate at Nutrien! This is an open posting for Electrical Engineering Students interested in internship positions at our White Springs, Florida Phosphate facility.
- This is a temporary, full-time, hourly paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.
- Work will be both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Outside the office, standard work wear will consist of hard hats, safety boots, safety glasses and ear plugs, with other items as needed; these items will be provided.
Dates/Terms:
- Summer Internship: May 27, 2025 - August 22, 2025 (End dates may be adjusted to coincide with school terms)
Housing/Relocation:
- Housing is provided for students whose summer residence is more than 75 miles from the site.
- Relocation is not provided for this internship
What you will do:
- Assist the site with various duties, including:
- Support various engineering projects in the fields of power, automation/controls, and telecommunications.
- Maintenance support including creating/modifying electrical prints, programming ladder logic or function block, and in-field troubleshooting of electrical/control equipment.
- Conduct research to assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives.
What you will bring:
- Currently enrolled and in an Electrical Engineering or equivalent related program with a graduation date of May 2026 or later.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must be able to work at heights, outdoors, and around potentially hazardous chemicals.
- Must be comfortable and physically capable of entering and working in a confined space.
- Must be able to hear and understand audible alarms, changes in noise levels of rotating equipment and portable radio communications.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
