Discover more about phosphate at Nutrien! This is an open posting for Mine Engineering Students interested in a Summer Internship at our White Springs, Florida facility. 

 

  • This is a temporary, full-time, hourly paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.
  • Work will be both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Outside the office, standard work wear will consist of hard hats, safety boots, safety glasses and ear plugs, with other items as needed; these items will be provided

 

Dates/Terms:

  • Summer Internship
    • May 27, 2025 - August 22, 2025 (End dates may be adjusted to coincide with school terms)

 

Housing/Relocation:

  • Housing is provided for students whose summer residence is more than 75 miles from the site.
  • Relocation is not provided for this internship

 

What you will do: 

  • Assist the site with various duties, including:
    • Survey underground and surface
    • Ventilation airflow measurements and trouble shooting
    • Rock Mechanics instrumentation installation
    • Record management
    • Analyze mine layout and schedule production

 

What you will bring: 

  • Currently enrolled and in a Mine Engineering, Geology, or equivalent related program with a graduation date of May 2026 or later. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work at heights, outdoors, and around potentially hazardous chemicals.
  • Must be comfortable and physically capable of entering and working in a confined space.
  • Must be able to hear and understand audible alarms, changes in noise levels of rotating equipment and portable radio communications.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.  

We provide an attractive benefits package that includes catastrophic coverages including life, accidental death and dismemberment, and business travel accident insurance for a position of at least three months in duration and more than 30 hours per week. Our benefit package also demonstrates our culture of care with paid sick days and holidays as well as an Employee and Family Assistance Program. A Student or Intern role does not participate in any retirement savings or incentive programs. Nutrien will comply with benefit and retirement regulations, as necessary. Details of the benefits package will be shared in the application process.
