This position is a home office but will require travel to various locations. Reporting to the Director, Sales, this position will be responsible to perform the following duties:
What will you do:
- Routinely educate Loveland Sales Managers, crop consultants and other key territory stake holders in selling skills.
- Ride-a longs with Loveland Sales Managers to help to improve performance through coaching and mentoring.
- Prepares an annual strategic plan outlining strategies and tactics to help increase sales growth opportunities.
- Assist with forecasting annual sales targets by shelf as well as per product.
- Works closely with the sales teams to support, influence, monitor and drive sales.
- Provides marketing and agronomic information as needed to help the sales team.
- Supports the sales teams by solving problems and creating solutions when needed.
- Coordinates and collaborates with technical resources to aid Loveland Sales Managers in building product confidence by leveraging Loveland product trials, field days, technical service and agronomy reps as well as field demonstrations.
- Helps develop marketing support strategies, product positioning, presentations, and technical support as needed.
- Drives adoption of analytical data to support and drive Loveland technology sales and adoption.
- Lead Loveland Sales Managers to sell Loveland products portfolio.
- Partner with Regional and Divisional leadership and other relevant stakeholders to achieve Regional and Divisional Loveland Products sales targets, growth targets, and strategic alignment to Loveland Products.
- Oversee all aspects of human resources including hiring, promoting, training and development, performance management, coaching, and discharging within company policy and regulatory compliance – partnering with HR, as needed.
- Lead and perform work the Nutrien Way – engaging in corporate, policies, programs and practices, including SH&E regulations and standards, to bring our Culture of Care to life.
- Perform other related duties, as required.
What will you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 10+ years’ experience in sales or marketing management in Ag related area, including 4 years in a supervisory/leadership or mentorship position.
- Strong sales ability with a proven track record of success.
- Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding communication capabilities, and the ability to influence others at all organizational levels.
- Ability to work effectively with other groups in the organization to achieve a common goal.
- Well-rounded knowledge of agricultural products and practices.
- Highly self-motivated.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- The highest ethical standards and sense of accountability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel.
- Clear and effective decision making, with emphasis on data-driven approach.
