The Maintenance Department Supervisor ensures the safe and efficient execution of the maintenance work process within the Biola Plant.  This position works with production employees on understanding maintenance/reliability issues, scheduling maintenance functions according to the production schedule, and ensuring that maintenance functions are completed safely to produce a quality product.
 

What you will do:
 

  • Manage, motivate, train, and build expertise for maintenance personnel.

  • Promote and continually improve the safety culture of the work group and site.

  • Work with the site leadership to develop and lead an overall maintenance and reliability improvement strategy for the site.

  • Work with Operational Supervisor and planner/scheduler to manage maintenance employees to work on projects, repairs, and preventative maintenance in a timely manner.

  • Oversee the hiring and use of contractors and contracted maintenance employees working on company property and equipment, ensuring they work safely and efficiently.

  • Work with maintenance planner to oversee and utilize the SAP system to track projects, purchases, preventative maintenance and work orders.

  • Develop and execute small projects in order to improve plant operation and reliability.

  • Build and document a thorough knowledge of plant equipment and machinery.

  • Recommend and purchase new equipment, tools, and repair parts, within budget, assisting in the Capex process as necessary.

  • Assist in the purchase, design, and installation of equipment in work areas.

  • Responsible for maintaining an efficient parts and supply inventory assuring that critical spares are maintained and available when needed.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment for the maintenance department

  • Maintain and promote positive team relationships within the Maintenance team and the site employees.
     

What you will bring:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, experience in lieu of education may be considered.

  • Preferred 3-5 years of plant experience.

  • Strong leadership skills and able to work well with other employees.

  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple improvement initiatives.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range $79,100 - $135,600/annually. This range is estimated for a Senior Supervisor, Maintenance in the State of California. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
