What you will do:

 

  • Adhere to all Quality standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes.
  • Perform routine QC testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
  • Report quality and process abnormalities to manager and lead investigations as needed.
  • Operate and maintain instruments, such as, the Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP OES), C&N combustion analyzer, Spectrophotometers, and other pertinent instrumentation.
  • Perform all quality control and quality assurance tests and procedures in a precise, accurate and efficient manner, and follows safety standards and protocols with regards to safe handling of materials.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including hands-on instrument troubleshooting & repair.
  • Maintain QC logbooks, compile and interpret data.
  • Develop and author SOPs.
  • Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
  • Maintain exemplary laboratory hygiene in terms of safety, health, and environment (SHE) compliance.
  • Act as a leader and example for the company’s Behavioral Standards, which focus on Safety, Integrity, Inclusion, Performance, Community, and Innovation.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Soil Science, Agronomy, Chemical Engineering or related field strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years of analytical lab experience including operation and troubleshooting of essential lab equipment such as ICP, combustion analyzers, spectrometers, conductivity meters, and other lab instruments.
  • Extensive experience with Mircrosoft Office and SAP Quality Management Modules, or other Laboratory Information Management System infrastructure.
  • Well-versed in analytical chemistry, analytical instrument maintenance, and analytical method development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audience.
  • Ability to work independently.
